What Will You Learn From This Webinar?

  1. Why short naps are developmentally normal in the first year

  2. How naps support nighttime sleep

  3. How to gently support better naps, realistically

What Makes This Webinar Different?

  1. It’s rooted in how babies actually develop between 4–12 months.
No “by this age they should…” expectations. Just what’s realistic for this stage.

  2. It helps parents decide what actually needs changing
Not every short nap needs intervention. We’ll help parents figure out when to tweak, and when to let go.

  3. It acknowledges that temperament matters
Some babies nap long, some don’t — and that doesn’t mean one is doing better than the other.

  4. It moves away from “perfect naps” as the goal
The focus is on naps that support a more settled baby and a more sustainable day — not textbook nap lengths.

  5. It’s designed to leave parents feeling calmer, not more overwhelmed
The goal isn’t more things to do — it’s more clarity, confidence, and relief around naps.

Meet the Host

Hello, I’m Wing Yan!

I didn’t plan to become a sleep consultant. I was just a new mum, exhausted, overwhelmed, and stuck in the fog of sleepless nights. My firstborn nursed to sleep, woke every hour, and I felt like I was slowly losing myself. I remember Googling for solutions, doubting everything, wondering… is this really what motherhood is supposed to feel like?

Then I discovered sleep training. Within days, my daughter was sleeping independently. I finally had space to breathe, to rest, to feel like myself again. That moment changed everything. I knew other parents deserved to feel that same relief, not just for their babies, but for their own well-being. I found my passion.

In 2016, I became one of Malaysia’s earliest certified infant and child sleep consultants and founded Precious Sleep. Since then, I’ve supported over 600 families through gentle, personalised coaching that respects each child’s temperament and each parent’s values. My approach is never one-size-fits-all, it’s about listening, adapting, and walking alongside parents with empathy and clarity.

No more second guessing and stressing out about naps!
